The completed Tower 1 comprises 819 apartments across 80 levels, both towers will share a podium of five levels. Stained in earthy tones and exposed stonework, the podium gives the silver wall-glazed towers the illusion that they are floating high into the horizon.

One, two and three-bedroom apartments in a variety of floorplans are on offer. Residents on floors 7 to 50, City Rise apartments, will have their own ground floor lobby and access to communal facilities on podium levels three to five. The distinct curtain wall façade of Queens Place includes over 11,000 custom-made façade panels, while a custom anodised aluminium ‘Lantern’ roof screen on Level 80 provides another unique feature for the precinct.

The main feature lobby entrance contains over 2,000 individual anodised aluminium extrusion light fittings along with crafted Italian marble stone slabs on the walls and columns.

Queens Place takes out Residential High Rise Development award at 2022 Asia Pacific Property Awards

The streamlined Tower One at Queens Place is now completed, marking the steadfast progress of what is set to become the tallest twin tower development&nbsp;in Australia. The $235m project has been designed by both&nbsp;Fender Katsalidis and Cox Architecture, and a competition-winning design scheme for developer 3L Alliance.

Located near the Queen Victoria Market precinct and Flagstaff Garden, Tower One at Queens Place delivers an urban-scale residential building responding to the site&rsquo;s conditions and to a multitude of the residents&rsquo; needs.

&quot;The podium&rsquo;s design ascends the streamlined tower form with an unembellished fa&ccedil;ade, shaped and sculpted by contextual drivers within and around the unique site.&rdquo;

Responding to the site&rsquo;s exposure to north-westerly winds, the 80-storey Tower One, with its silver curtain wall glazing, has been rounded to capture and reflect light and views into each residential apartment.

The tower is complete with quality amenities and spaces designed to offer residents the potential to optimise their way of living, working and play. Resident socialisation is promoted through communal amenities such as the pool and spa, games rooms, karaoke suite, cinema, library, poker, and mah-jong room.

Breaking up the progression of dwellings, a high-rise lobby at level 51 offers further amenity, including a swimming pool, karaoke, and dining space. Beyond that are the high-rise apartments occupying level 53 to 68.

Through-site connections and unobstructed solar access under the mixed-use podium provide pedestrians with practical accessibility to the surrounds and encourages circulation through the block.

Australia's tallest twin towers set to bridge fringes of Melbourne CBD

Melbourne's brand new $1 billion dual tower project, known as Queens Place, has recently completed the construction of its first tower.

The development's design was a collaboration by leading design firms Fender Katsalidis Architects and Cox Architecture.&nbsp;

A design feature I found particularly interesting is that as each tower rises, they veer away from each other, creating visual asymmetry and maximising views for residents on upper levels.&nbsp;

On the ground floor, you're welcomed into the most stunning lobby, complete with an incredible light installation.&nbsp;

As soon as you step foot in your apartment, you're met with this incredible view of the city skyline through the floor-to-ceiling glazing. It's a view you would never tire of and one of the most rewarding features of apartment living.&nbsp;

The flow is open plan and feels light and spacious. Little details like the wide panel timber flooring make the room feel even larger, and depending on whether you opt for a single wall kitchen or a galley configuration, there is plenty of room for dining to be separate from the living area.

The kitchens feature integrated rangehoods and Miele gas cooktops with timeless timber joinery. You'll also notice that these wall sconce lights are a unique feature piece and are also found in the bathrooms.

All bathrooms and ensuites are fully tiled and include freestanding timber vanities, deep square basins and modern tapware. Many apartments also have wall-spanning walk-in showers.&nbsp;

The bedrooms also offer great views of the city, with expansive floor-to-ceiling glazing. Soft grey carpet makes the room feel cosy, while the full height mirrored wardrobes create a feeling of spaciousness.
