The residential apartment tower Assana, which will be Broadbeach&#39;s tallest, has seen 20 per cent of its 146 apartments snapped up pre-launch.

Local downsizers and upsizers have made up the bulk of purchasing so far, with a handful of buyers coming from Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra.

Two-bedroom apartments, at 128 sqm, start from $800,000, with the three-bed apartments at 140 sqm priced at $950,000.

There are a handful of four-bedroom sub-penthouses, which have 256 sqm of living space, and three&nbsp;exclusive whole floor penthouses with over 573 sqm of living space each.

A landscaped infinity pool on level 10 will have views of the ocean. There will also be a&nbsp;state-of-the-art gym, spa and sauna, a mezzanine level with a private residents&rsquo; lounge and work zones, automated valet parking, and a ground level coffee shop.

Assana, Broadbeach apartment development, secures 20% of apartments before launch

The Sydney-based development company, Macquarie Developments Group, has appointed the global construction giant Multiplex to build their first Gold Coast apartment project, Assana.

Assana will&nbsp;be the tallest tower in Broadbeach at 52 levels, topping The Oracle Beach Tower which is the current tallest at 50 levels.

The&nbsp;corner site location of Assana at 15 Rosewood Avenue&nbsp;creates&nbsp;an impressive view corridor taking in the Pacific Ocean, the Nerang River, cityscape and the hinterland.

The waterfall design by SJB,&nbsp;will see 146&nbsp;apartments added to the Broadbeach pipeline, some of the biggest on offer in the sought-after Gold Coast suburb.

Assana, translated to waterfall&nbsp;in the Irish language, will offer two-bed, two-bath apartments from nearly 120 sqm. The three-bedroom apartments will have over 140 sqm of living space, and the four-bed skyhomes ranging between 240 sqm and 295 sqm,

Onsite works are expected to start for the approved development around April/May time next year. The display suite, opposite the site, is set for completion in mid-December.

The sales launch is set to coincide with an influx of interstate visitors expected to flood into Queensland when borders reopen for the festive holiday season.

Multiplex appointed to build Assana, Broadbeach's tallest tower

The Sydney-based Macquarie Developments Group are set to develop the tallest tower in the Gold Coast suburb of Broadbeach.

The Gold Coast City Council gave the development the green light, after Macquarie&nbsp;amended the approved application after they bought the site in October through GV Property Group.

Macquarie Developments Group has altered the development approval that they inherited back in 2016, which was for a 42-level tower.

Assana will now rise a further 11 levels, but will have considerably less&nbsp;apartments, down from 186 to 146, a move which sees the developer&nbsp;cater to growing trend of bigger apartments for the owner-occupier.

Head of Development and Construction Peter Galvin said his team worked closely with Gold Coast City Council, Gold Coast-based Urban Planning Services, and award-winning architects SJB, to achieve a successful outcome.

There will now be 195 parking spaces, with at least one per apartment.

SJB has designed the tower so that every apartments has a corner berth, essentially giving every apartment in the building panoramic views of the ocean, the river, the city and the hinterland.

There will be extensive resident amenity,&nbsp;including a private lounge, a ground floor coffee shop, a state-of-the-art gym, a landscaped podium, and an infinity pool on the level 10 with views of the ocean.

Galvin said Assana was likely to appeal to downsizers and the growing southern relocation market, where a lust for lifestyle property was being fuelled by lengthy lockdowns.

&ldquo;The lockdown experience in Victoria and New South Wales has put the focus on quality of life and our experience of what you want from your home. Not surprisingly many are looking to the Gold Coast for a lifestyle change, and when it comes to the Gold Coast, you won&rsquo;t find a much better location than Broadbeach.&quot;

Broadbeach is among the Gold Coast&rsquo;s key development hot spots, led by the $670 million expansion of Pacific Fair, a $2 billion masterplan for The Star Gold Coast casino site and benefitting from the established Gold Coast Light Rail route.

Construction on Assana is expected in mid-2022.
