The Broadway Shopping Centre in Sydney is set for a $55 million redevelopment.

The redevelopment includes a 3400 square metre-expansion of Level 2 that will add about 31 new stores.

The redevelopment will also increase the centre's food and fashion retail offer, following the introduction of Apple Store in mid-2012 and ALDI last year.

Business as usual will continue throughout the redevelopment period.

The Mirvac and Perron Investments-owned Broadway Shopping Centre ranked first for turnover per square metre according to the 2015 Shopping Centre News Big Guns report, up 6.4 per cent from last year at $12,248 per square metre.
