VIC: Residential site sale, 42-48 Balston Street, Southbank, Melbourne THE AUSTRALIAN NOVEMBER 07, 2013 3:59PM AN OFFSHORE Chinese developer has purchased a residential development site in Melbourne's Southbank for $6.9 million. The sale follows a trend of offshore developers purchasing sites in the Melbourne CBD, Southbank and Docklands for apartment towers. The 1455sq m site was sold with plans and a permit for a two-tower apartment project comprising 348 apartments over 37 levels. Colliers International agent Matt Stagg said: "The offshore developer was drawn to the site largely because the completed tower will boast outstanding views of Port Phillip Bay, Albert Park Lake and the Melbourne CBD." Fits in perfectly with the rest of the Central Equity shitsville that now proudly comprises our glorious city's entire southern skyline vista.

The buyer of that grade carpark really needs to do something spectacular.
