Construction of a $280 million luxury residential and retail precinct is underway in Collingwood. The development will see nine buildings of different materials and heights juxtaposed together, bordered by four Collingwood streets including Cambridge Street, Victoria Parade, Derby Street and Wellington Street.

Victoria & Vine has been consciously designed to pay homage to the site’s historical neighbour – the Foy and Gibson precinct. The 19th and early 20th-century complex is noted as a heritage building and was constructed by renowned architect William Pitt in 1887. The design of Victoria & Vine will feature similar aesthetic features including reclaimed brickwork, industrial masonry, metal-framed windows, floor-to-ceiling glass voids and more.

The COX Architecture-designed building also draws influence from New York’s Meatpacking District and will embody a warehouse-style structural design to seamlessly blend into Collingwood’s rich history of industrial factories and historic overlay.

Generously sized residences will feature 1- to 5-bedroom configurations, priced from $475,000, through to high-end penthouses ranging from $980,000 to $7,500,000.

Given the vast sprawl of the development, the 200m street frontage will be filled by 11 retail tenancies including food and beverage offerings.

Rising up four levels of each tower will feature 4,500 square metres of resident amenity – also known as the V&V Private Club.

V&V Private Club will include:

  • Health club
  • Rooftop lounge
  • Spa retreats
  • Private dining facilities
  • Infinity pool and sundeck
  • Outdoor cinema
  • Co-working space
  • Business lounge
  • NYC-inspired bar
  • Library
  • Teppanyaki bar

The luxury-focused design aims to cater to the owner-occupier and downsizer market.

“We want this building to be a legacy for Collingwood and make a positive lasting contribution not only to the surrounding urban landscape but to Collingwood’s inspired retail and hospitality culture, too.”
