A leading national architecture and design practice, Rothelowman’s work serves premier private and public organisations with innovative design thinking across Australia.

Established in 1991, the architecture firm has been recognised for creating high-quality, innovative designs across a range of sectors and project types. These include high-rise, mixed-use towers, residential developments, interiors, hotels and major retail centres.

Rothelowman believes good architecture is critical to the successful evolution of our cities, and their beautiful designs reflect this.

“Our buildings are inspired by the existing context and seek to help define the future. Each building we conceive is an opportunity to respond intelligently to a unique set of circumstances and to improve and redefine the existing built environment”, their website reads.

The firm serves both national and international clients, with a number of projects in the pipeline continuing to enhance the Australian landscape.

Urban takes a look at four Rothelowman-designed projects across Queensland on the market right now.

1. The Monaco, Main Beach
Address: 2-4 MacArthur Parade, Main Beach QLD 4217
Two-bedroom apartments from $1,800,000

“The Monaco offers a boutique beachside residential opportunity for discerning buyers looking to upgrade their lifestyle”, Rothelowman’s Jeff Brown said.

Delivered by Ignite Projects, the new tower will feature the Southern Hemisphere’s first car elevator to apartments, as well as a sky garage and custom-designed kitchen for each buyer.

“The approach to the design has been one seeking clarity and simplicity, allowing for the natural attributes of the location to take precedence.”

Generously oversized, the apartments offer up to 600 sqm of living space and feature Italian natural silver travertine floor tiles, a well-equipped butler’s pantry and a lavish cocktail bar.

2. Anthology, New Farm

Three-bedroom apartments from $1,495,000

QM Properties’ latest Queensland development, Anthology, comprises 26 residences in New Farm, designed by Rothelowman.

The project features a full suite of living options, from one, two and three-bedroom residences through to spacious penthouses. Each apartment feature high-end materials, stone benchtops and Miele appliances in the kitchen.

New Farm, a leafy inner-city Brisbane suburb nourished by expansive parklands, tree-lined streets, and river frontage, helped define the design intent for Anthology.

“Cues taken from the abundance of flora in the vicinity of the subject site led to the evolution of the design response.”

The project features a rooftop lounge with an infinity pool and excellent views of the Brisbane River and city skyline.

3. Bela by Mosaic, Mermaid Beach
Address: 43 Peerless Avenue, Mermaid Beach QLD 4218
Two-bedroom apartments from $965,000

Located just off Hedges Avenue, Bela is Mosaic’s latest development and offers a stylish low-maintenance lifestyle with the ultimate Gold Coast convenience.

Rothelowman’s design pays homage to the iconic beach shacks of the 1950s, reimagined to create spacious retreats in this coveted location.

“The conceptual driver behind the functional program, architectural expression and the experiential qualities of the interior is derived from a ‘beach house’ ideology and the emotive response it evokes.”

Purposely considered with the discerning owner-occupier in mind, each apartment features open-plan living, balcony space, and stylish finishes and inclusions. The project also introduces a number of resident amenities.

4. Tree House, West End
Address: 111 Jane Street, West End QLD 4101
Three-bedroom apartments from $1,100,000

Delivered by the ARIA Property Group, Tree House is conceived as a modern tree canopy with a botanically inspired architectural feature at the entry.

"The immediate frontage of the site facing Davies Park allowed for the exploration and integration of vertical landscaping as a shaping element of the architecture that reflected the adjacent streetscape.”

Rothelowman transposes the natural serenity of the exterior inside with floor-to-ceiling glass, open-plan layouts and timeless finishes.

The home’s podium form includes a rooftop Garden Club, an infinity pool, plunge pool, private dining pavilion, fitness centre, BBQ and sun lounge areas as well as a kids’ play space.

“This bold architectural response creates a strong identity. Vertical greenery is the expression and the focus of the façade, enriching the precincts urban biodiversity”, Rothelowman said.
