Capital Alliance is delivering their latest Melbourne project, nestled in Australia’s largest urban renewal precinct.

The 40-storey Normanby offers one, two and three-bedroom apartments atop Australia’s first AC Hotels by Marriott, linking high-end apartments with exclusive hotel services.

Finished with quality material, bespoke detailing and entertaining areas, these residences provide luxury living amongst natural sophistication and rich amenity.

Designed by DKO Architecture, each apartment has been carefully designed for functionality with generous storage solutions and a custom-designed integrated dining table.

Homebuyers can choose between two distinct colour palettes, the warmer ‘Urban’ palette and the cooler ‘Harbour’ scheme, each providing a range of distinctive finishes inspired by the city’s surrounding environment.

Dotted throughout the tower are a range of facilities no matter your lifestyle. Urban takes a look at six amenities that reflect the design excellence of Normanby.

1. Infinity pool

Southbank’s budding sculptural jewel does not just feature a great design at its exterior, but features functional lifestyle features, including an outdoor, infinity-edge swimming pool that spans the width of the building,

“The elevated infinity pool provides the perfect place for a swim to start the day, or to unwind as the sun sets with views of the Melbourne skyline”, the project marketing reads.

2. Gymnasium

Located above AC Hotel, residents will be able to enjoy exclusive access to services and amenities provided by the hotel including a 24-hour fitness centre.

This fitted gym will deliver residents convenient opportunities to keep fit and healthy.

3. Lounge area

The tower celebrates classic modern design that is inspired by the urban locale and AC’s Spanish roots, originally a vision of renowned hotelier Antonio Catalan.

As a result, the tower includes the AC Lounge, a modern co-working space that will host creative gatherings by day and a buzzing social hub offering European-style tapas by night.

4. A new community park

Located just 200 metres from Normanby is a new community park for Fishermans Bend.

“The 8000 square metre Montague Park is equivalent to two and half times the size of Melbourne’s city square and is diagonally opposite the new South Melbourne Ferrars Street primary school under construction”, states the project marketing.

The new park will become a key part of the community, providing more public space, community services and facilities for the growing precinct.

5. Collaborative areas

True to the brand, the hotel will feature a range of collaborative spaces, including 150 sqm of space designed to welcome groups of all sizes.

Residents can take advantage of this great space for meetings or events, as well as benefit from the space in three food and beverage outlets in the hotel below.

6. Hotel services

Normanby does not simply host hotel-style designed bathrooms, and sophisticated high-end materials but feature five-star services from AC Hotels.

Such services include access to concierge services, room service, and housekeeping.

Construction is well underway and expected to be completed in September 2021.
