Construction is underway at 161 Eastern, a collaboration between developer Fortenum and award-winning architects Kavellaris Urban Design (KUD).

The collaboration will deliver a collection of 32 home style residents to South Melbourne, with a number of dual aspect homes, double-storey lofts and penthouses.

Fortenum say the residences are the combination of distinctive architecture and exhilarating art, with the dynamic partnership emanating residences where the accumulation of life’s achievements are to be celebrated and attention to detail is of the utmost importance.

Offering a mix of two, three and four-bedroom configurations, the homes are designed with a robust, yet refined aesthetic, partnering urban functionality with practicality.

Space and light are key elements within each architectural design with particular focus on privacy.

The Penthouse Collection located on the higher floors introduce a new benchmark of luxury living to South Melbourne, inviting buyers to individualise each space.

With premium quality appliances by Gaggenau and Liebherr, expansive open spaces and custom fireplaces further enhance the grandeur and atmosphere of each penthouse residence.

Buyers can select from a selection of high-quality finishes, such as the marble in either Black Caviar or Mont Blanc, combined with fluted glass and timber finishes in either a warm walnut or cool beech, along with a choice of colour palettes in both light and dark tones.

KUD owner, Billy Kavellaris said the combination of natural and man-made materials further accentuate a sense of purposeful and high-end design whilst evoking an atmosphere of refined and pared back luxury.

“Architectural language from the façade is brought inside and reflected in the joiner and other interior design finishes,” Kavellaris said.

Following an open plan design, each home blends seamlessly with an expansive private balcony, amidst verdant greenery and lush planting, with space for alfresco dining and entertaining.

Each residence at 161 Eastern will also include two secure car spaces, which is a rare benefit with inner city living.
