Port Melbourne has welcomed one of its most boutique apartment developments to date with the recent launch of 50 Rouse, just three whole-floor apartments named after its location at 50 Rouse Street.

Located just one street back from Beaconsfield Parade and the Port Melbourne Lifesaving Club, 50 Rouse is being developed by Greenock and has been designed by Wood Marsh to celebrate Port Melbourne's industrial heritage while ushering in a new era for the beachside precinct.

"Wood Marsh is an integral part of the 50 Rouse project as the lower two levels will house our architecture studio, which ensures our vested interest in delivering the highest quality outcome," Wood Marsh said.\

The facade of 50 Rouse features mirrored glazing for privacy and visual interest, accentuated by durable and weather-resistant materials such as raw bronze, concrete, and perforated brickwork.

The upper levels of the facade incorporate expansive balconies to reduce visual bulk and promote indoor-outdoor living. Sustainability is a key focus, with permeable balustrades, passive shading techniques, and optimum cross-flow ventilation integrated into the design.

The building is also landscaped by award-winning studio Jack Merlo Landscape Architects, providing residents with a lush green outlook and a heightened sense of liveability.

The natural and durable palette extends within the interiors, wherein each apartment features tactile stone surfaces, hardwood floors, and dark timber joinery.

Floor-to-ceiling windows invite natural light and panoramic views into each space, while the open floor plans are designed to cater to the entertainer's lifestyle.

Sliding doors blur the boundaries between indoors and outdoors, extending the living area to the terrace.

The chef's kitchen is complete with a well-appointed scullery and cleverly integrated storage, while a full-sized dining table takes centre stage on the open plan.

The master suite features an oversized walk-in robe and a sleek ensuite with a custom double vanity, complemented by a large free-standing tub and a spacious walk-in shower.

50 Rouse is slated for completion in December 2025. Stephen Brooks is marketing 50 Rouse.
