Rutledge Lane reaches for the sky

The second installment of the PaintUp! series has recently been completed, gracing Rutledge Lane within Melbourne's CBD. The larger than life mural in an altogether difficult area to spot, is the work of artist DVate and was completed with the help of high access machinery. Best viewed from the adjoining multi-level car park, the work is the result of a City of Melbourne/Hosier Inc initiative which hopes to further activate the Hosier-Rutledge...

After the Blue - Rutledge Lane

Rutledge Lane, one of Melbourne's premier graffiti art laneways branching off the more well known Hosier Lane was transformed last weekend, when Adrian Doyle of Darkhorse Experiment fame boldly replaced the Lane's striking graffiti with a simple baby blue covering, entitled Empty Nursery Blue . With the backing of Melbourne City Council everything from the walls, garbage bins and even the asphalt was covered in blue paint, with the past artworks...
