Top Spring Australia has secured over $100 million in sales in the last three months at its St Leonards parkside masterplan community, The Newlands.

They've now sold over $160 million worth of apartments in the 1.26-hectare precinct, with the strongest enquiry coming from professionals seeking an inner-city, tree-change lifestyle which is on the doorstep of the Royal North Shore Hospital and education precincts, and less than five kilometres to the Sydney CBD.

Downsizers accounted for 15 per cent of purchasers, relocating from their established homes on both the Upper and Lower North Shore, including Kirribilli.

“The Newlands is a development for every generation evidenced by the mix of buyers, from young families who value the large apartments, green space and parkland proximity, to empty nesters who appreciate the premium finishes and walkable lifestyle,” McMahon said.

“Regardless of their stage in life, every purchaser has commented on the tree-top outlook and resident amenities. They see it as a place to create a home and it appeals to their personal values in terms of community, sustainability, and connection to nature.”

The demand has fast-tracked the formal launch of the Glade collection, a boutique nine-level building of one, two and three-bedroom apartments alongside the 5,700 sqm green spine of The Newlands.

The Bates Smart-designed project is bordered by parkland on three sides and includes communal onsite electric vehicles and e-bikes, refrigerated parcel lockers for grocery deliveries, and a digital concierge to connect services such as cleaners, personal trainers, and dog walkers.

Private resident amenities include a resort-style pool, playgrounds, gyms, and rooftop entertaining areas with city views.

Top Spring Australia Development Director, Jeff Curnow, said the scale of The Newlands is a refreshing contrast to towering high-rises, reflecting a community-driven design approach that embraces the tree canopy of the century-old Newlands Park.

“The entire development acknowledges its rare parkfront position and is surrounded by trees and greenery with elevated walkways, water features and nature pathways,” Curnow said.

“More than 50 per cent of the site is dedicated to green spaces, with a private green spine of beautifully landscaped gardens, recreation spaces and mature trees.

Early works have commenced on the Canberra Avenue site with DASCO appointed Top Spring Australia’s construction partner.

Prices start at $865,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, $1.42 million for two bedrooms, and $2.42 million for three bedrooms.
