Sekisui House Australia is set to welcome more than 350 new residents to its latest completed stage at its West Village masterplan, Altura.

Altura, the tallest apartment tower and the fifth to be completed in West End’s landmark $1.2 billion West Village precinct, comprises 146 apartments, which will be occupied just in time for Christmas.

The 22-level tower was designed with a unique neuro-architectural approach that aims to promote a feeling of wellness through design, textures and colours.

With concept design by Smart Design Studio, detailed design by nettletontribe and landscape design by RPS, Altura’s rooftop boasts a ‘Wellness Regeneration Zone’ with infinity edge pool, magnesium spa, outdoor kitchen, barbecue area and sunken fire pit for residents to rest and recharge.

The podium ‘Lifeplace Level’ features communal areas for connectivity, including a library, cinema rooms, private dining room with kitchenette and workspace productivity pods, while 14-metre mature kauri pines line the base of the tower forming the tranquil Kauri Grove on Kauri Lane.

nettletontribe Director David Cohen said the quality of living spaces in each Altura residence was further enhanced through connections with nature.

“One of the underpinning design principles across the West Village master plan is the integration of built form with the natural environment, which has a positive flow-on effect on our health and wellbeing,” Cohen said.

“Altura embodies this principle by incorporating greenery vertically up the building, benefiting not only the residences and balcony environments, but also the surrounding buildings in the broader West Village community.

“The design of the balconies and the façade were key to delivering a quality space for each residence that achieved outlook and connection to the natural environment, including access to natural light and ventilation.”

Only two residences remain available at Altura starting from $3.6 million, including the five-bedroom, four-and- half bathroom penthouse on level 22 and the four-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom sub-penthouse on level 21.

West Village Project Director Taku Hashimoto said the distinctive Altura residence reinforced the benefits of living in West Village where community, lifestyle and wellbeing were at the forefront.

“West Village provides an unparalleled setting, combining heritage, environmental connectivity, creativity, and health and wellness aspects that encourage residents and visitors to thrive,” Hashimoto said.

“It also boasts a 99 out of 100 Walk Score, enabling residents to easily access the precinct’s Harris Farm Markets, Goodlife Health Clubs, medical and beauty hubs, and the 25-plus retail and dining options.

“We are proud to deliver Altura as part of the West Village master plan and provide its soon-to-be residents with multi-sensory, luxury living and innovation, all within a vibrant community and a stone’s throw from the city."

Three final buildings are to be completed at West Village, including The Allere Collection which is currently under construction and features two connected, vertical communities Uno and Duo, 90 per cent of which is already sold out with limited residences remaining across three, four and five-bedroom options.

The Allere Collection is a curated collection of 203 residences designed by Rothelowman, with a unique, pet- friendly focus integrated across both communities and shared communal spaces set to entice families, including rooftop pools, enclosed dining spaces, seating areas, a vegetable garden and an off-leash rooftop dog space, ‘Paw Pavilion’.

West Village’s master developer Sekisui House Australia is proud to continue to create homes and communities that improve with time and last for generations.

With developments in Queensland and New South Wales, Sekisui House Australia’s approach to design honours its Japanese heritage, with design guided by the principle of Satoyama — connecting people through ‘ribbons of green’ to ensure communities are in harmony with their natural surroundings.
