Prominent developers Kincrest are rolling into the new year with a sold out project.

The group’s South Yarra development, Stanhope has been a hit among buyers, attracting prices from $1.7 million all the way through to $5 million,

Progressing through the significant Covid lockdowns, which saw many developers shut down throughout the state, Kincrest held firm, experiencing only a slight delay in delivering the final product.

Externally, Stanhope takes on its surrounding context, with architects Telha Clarke finding inspiration in the expansive landscape of trees and green spaces. Internally, world renowned Swedish designer, Lotta Agaton drew inspiration from Scandinavian light and minimalism, incorporating natural materials throughout, such as high quality solid wooden floors and handpicked sand coloured stone.

Kincrest are now looking to the future having recently launched their Essendon project, The Watson to market, along with another South Yarra development, Armytage.

Kincrest’s Owner and Director, Tom Howgate said the move to deliver new products, even in the current market climate, demonstrates the group’s ability to meander around constraints and difficulties.

“We’re very proud of Stanhope and the accomplishment to sell out in what has been and currently remains a difficult market. We have held firm in our values and beliefs in delivering the project and that is what has been recognised by our purchasers in the end,” Howgate said.

Construction on Armytage by Kincrest is slated for February, with all but one of the five apartments already sold.

Located at 35-37 Kensington Road, Armytage has evolved off the success of Stanhope, with both projects addressing the gap in the current market.

"As a developer and South Yarra local, it is important to me that local urban development is in line with the energy and demographics of the area. A building should try to encapsulate the mood, needs and lifestyle not only aspired too, but lived."

Designed for the discerning downsizers and aspiring young professionals seeking a design oriented, leisure filled lifestyle in the heart of a tree-lined streetscape, Armytage is only moments away from the open expanses of Como House and Park, as well as Toorak Village and the bustling Chapel Street.

As the latest in the pipeline, The Watson is tipped to set a new benchmark for residential development in Essendon, with its prime location and generous homes designed for the owner-occupier.

"The Watson is designed to be lived in," Howgate said.

"We create homes that are the perfect combination of functionality, timeless design and quality materials."

Telha Clarke have had a hand in designing all three projects, with each bringing something new to their locale while still remaining sympathetic to the surrounding history and heritage.

Delivering a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, The Watson's floorplans span from 76 sqm all the way through to 294 sqm, with the three-bedders starting from $1.2 million.
